Business – Taxes©

Each year I take my taxes to a CPA to be sure that they are done correctly.  Frankly, the tax forms and words mystify me as do the allowable deductions, schedules, and other details involved in income tax preparation.  I do my part which is to write down my business expenses, income, taxable items, and then my personal income, deductions, and contributions.  I like this part the best as it is simple.

Being able to read, understand, and apply all of the income tax laws and changes each year is a complicated and intense job that takes dedicated people with minds that love the myriad of details.  I honor, respect, and give great thanks for them as I would be in big trouble if I had to do it on my own.

It is wonderful that there are perfect people for each job or type of work that needs to be done.  It is, and mostly has been, my good fortune to have very competent, ethical people assist me.  It is a spiritual practice that I stay aware of within myself – that of being competent and ethical; being responsible for my own part of business, whether it is taxes, emails, paying bills, making calls, keeping books, or whatever.  It calls me to hold myself and what I do to a higher standard.

Reggie has that same calling to a higher standard – his business is to bark loudly when someone is coming to our front door and he doesn’t stop until I say it is okay.  He is doing his job watching the property, barking when anyone walks by the front yard.  He watches out for me in a competent and diligent manner.  Watching out for each other in ways that are needed, whether business or personal, is a lifetime spiritual practice with everyone and everything for us.  Nancy and Reggie♥

Healing at Service©

The service I attend has a time set aside for healing.   When I am asked by the Chairperson to do healing, I am happy to help.  Last Sunday, people came to my chair and then filled out a Healing Affidavit letting me know how the healing effected them.  Here a couple of affidavits for you to read.

•One person wrote “During healing feeling movement like in healing water and became lighter and let go tightness in the chest.”

•Another person wrote “Shoulder pain and difficulty breathing.  Was able to breathe easier.  Felt heat in her hands and it loosened up the tension and pain in shoulders!”

Spirit does the healing.  I am the vehicle through which the energy, vibration, and frequencies can travel to the person.  Before I begin, I open Sacred Space and invite in the Highest Divine Beings to assist, then I ask that my personal life be set aside and that I be a clear, open channel for Spirit to help whoever needs it in the most effective manner possible.  Afterward I thank Spirit for assisting me and those needing healing.  I continue to send Blessings, Healing, Light, Love, Peace, and Release during the following week.

When I have clients in my home, Reggie will lay at their feet or by the side of their chair at times, assisting in the healing.  He has a natural ability to heal and bring people to a happier place.  He will know when to lay next to them and touch their body with his body, when to sit at the end of the sofa with them, and when to jump down as he is finished with his part.  I call him my Guardian Temple Dog.

We continue healing each other, others, and are grateful to be of service.  Nancy and Reggie♥

Dinner at Home©

After attending the Circle of Love service this morning, I was guided by my deceased husband to buy myself a bouquet of flowers for my bedroom to show his love for me.  I bought a pink, purple, and green bouquet of mixed flowers.  While at the grocery store, I got to thinking about the quart-plus of milk I have in the refrigerator that needed to be used.  I use milk in two ways – gravy or pudding.  So I decided to make gravy which prompted me to buy chicken to fry so I would have a good flavor for the gravy.  Then I needed potatoes to put the gravy on, so bought five potatoes.

I love dinner at home as I like the food I prepare and I like to eat with Reggie.  I peeled and cut up the potatoes and put them on to steam.  Then cleaned the chicken, froze half of it, and got the other half ready to fry.  I like to roll chicken in flour, crushed crackers, salt and pepper, which I then use for the gravy.  I put the chicken on to fry, got peas and carrots out to warm up so I would have vegetables.  This is a comfort meal for me as I love Fried Chicken, Steamed Potatoes which I fork mash , Gravy, and Peas and Carrots (or usually corn), but do not prepare it often.  It took me an hour and a half to get this meal ready.  When I sat down I gave thanks for the wonderful abundance, asked that all in the chain who helped provide it be blessed and thanked, and that we, in turn, bless all.  Then I savored this delicious meal that tasted so good to me.

Reggie came to the kitchen several times to see if lunch was ready yet.  He is used to me taking much less time to prepare our food.  I fix him a little saucer of meat and sometimes carrots, and he looks forward to sharing the meal with me.  He was so happy when I finally sat his plate down – it was gone in a minute with every particle and flavor licked up.  Then he went to sit in the sun where he can see outside, full of food and love.

By the time I finished the dishes, I was worn out, so decided to rest.  I read and rest with my feet up to relax – sometimes with my eyes closed.  As I was resting, the memory came to me of all the meals Mother fixed with the help of my sisters and I.  She was a gourmet cook who created wonderful meals, special salads, desserts, fresh breads, and so forth.  A lifetime of love put into creating good food, then cleaning up afterwards, and relaxing.   It is rather like spiritual work – I put effort into growing and learning, clearing old patterns and habits, then relaxing while it integrates into my Beingness.   So many blessings every moment for me to be aware of and grateful for – a spiritual dinner at home.  Nancy and Reggie♥
