Many of those who have joined us on the Journey at Mount Shasta find when they return to their daily lives they move back into old patterns and habits.  The desire to have continued support that reinforces the techniques and tools learned during the Journey has been requested.

Due to this request  we have designed a three month program to follow the Journey that not only supports the participants, it assists in maintaining the new, and understanding the changes in their world.  The support program is comprised of two monthly group Zoom calls between 30 to 60 minutes that cover:

  • Applying what was learned
  • Daily life tools
  • Support for the changes you experience within yourself and with others
  • Other issues that may surface

Each month Nancy will host one of the Zoom sessions and Cherry will host the other.

Painting the Kitchen Cabinets©

The kitchen cabinets and drawers are thirty-two years old and have had maybe one paint job done by the previous owner.  This was not a perfect paint job.  So, I got the notion that I wanted to get my kitchen cabinets painted.  I knew that I needed a professional as I knew I did not know how to paint at that level.

Finding a professional painter took me months.  I asked the contractor I had work with me, checked the newspaper, went online looking, and they were either booked up months in advance, didn’t return my call, or wanted too much money.  Spirit at work keeping those from me who would not have been the right ones to do the work and me listening.

One morning on Reggie’s and my walk, I saw this vehicle with paint ladders, and equipment sitting beside the curb and the man was getting ready to get in.  See how Spirit works with patience!  So, I waved to him, asked him if he was a painter, and when he said yes, I asked if he painted kitchen cabinets.  He said yes, and that he could come to give me an estimate a few days later, which he did.  I love it when Spirit surprises me like this.

Reggie liked him immediately as did I, so I asked for references, we talked about what I wanted done, and the procedures, cost, timing, whether he was licensed, bonded, and insured, and so forth.  He said he had the start date of July 9 open and it would take five days to complete.  I told him to put my name on that date and if his references checked out I would hire him.  This was amazing to me as from others I had heard a variety of dates way in the future and a fairly long period of time that it would take to complete the job.

The references checked out, we drew up a contract, and on Monday, July 9, he and his crew came at the exact time he said he would and began work.  During the time they were working, they were unknowingly bringing spiritual practices into every part of their work.  They carefully masked the floor, the parts of the kitchen that weren’t to be painted, marked and counted the doors so they would know exactly where to return them.  They did the same with the drawers and they saved all the hinges.  Meticulous work with every step.  Observing them hold themselves to a higher standard in perfect Divine Alignment was joyful to experience.  Spirit demonstrating the quality of their beings.

There was no swearing, no arguments, no loud voices or any disruptive words or actions by any of the workmen.  When they needed Reggie and I to be out of the room, they let us know ahead of time so we could get whatever we needed to be elsewhere.  They were caring about both of us.  Spirit seeing that we were enfolded in comfort.

There were issues that came up which were immediately brought to me with suggestions for resolution, and then they carried out whatever decision we jointly made.  They were listening to Spirit communicating with them so beautifully and choosing to do the right thing in each situation.

The colors I chose were white for the top cabinets and the pantry doors, and Dark Teal for the bottom cabinets and drawers.  This is bold for me as I usually choose one neutral color.  I decided to expand my fun by choosing the Dark Teal which would enhance the countertop.  When I first saw it, I was surprised at how “Teal” it is and at the difference from my neutral colors.  Then I fell in love with it as it is such a pop of color and brings so much life to the countertop as well as the upper cabinets and drawers.  It feels like a new part of me that is alive and vibrant.  Spirit urging me to choose to live with zest.

It is now five days later and they finished hanging my beautiful kitchen cabinets and putting the drawers back in place.  They cleaned up inside the cabinets, on the exterior, and mopped the floor after sweeping.  They left everything in pristine order.  This is such a beautiful gift for me, no stress or mess and a beautiful kitchen that is transformed.

Once I stopped trying to find a painter, Spirit led me right to the perfect professional painter for me right in my neighborhood, at the right price, with high quality work being completed much sooner than I thought it would be, and with new friends being made.  Spirit saw that I had the kitchen I wanted with minimal effort on my part.

The painter is interested in my spiritual work and wants to get together to learn more about it.  He brought his wife over to meet me, then another day his son.  We had a lovely time together.  Spirit bringing us together to expand all of us in many ways.

Allowing Spirit to lead me in all that I think, say, and do makes life so easy and joyful.  All I have to do is stay open and listen.  I am so grateful for Spirit and all those involved in the process of gracing my life each step of the way!

Reggie helped make the decision to hire the painter because he liked him right off as the painter played with him.  Reggie’s knowing about people is fail proof as he has a keen sense of who is okay and who isn’t.  I pay attention to his knowing.  Reggie smelled the painter’s dog and later met the dog at the park, so now they are friends now too.  All of us open to Spirit’s flow.  Nancy and Reggie♥

Skeptic©

This past weekend I had a booth at the Sacramento Holistic Living Expo and had a wonderful time and met many people.  One man stayed in my awareness as he spent quite a bit of time at my booth talking with me.  He explained that he was a skeptic and didn’t believe that putting oil on oneself and doing many of the other things available would change anything.  His concern was with the larger picture of humanity and government and that people aren’t paying attention to what is going on.  This man was from a small European country with knowledge of past atrocities there.

I looked up skeptic in Wiktionary and this is the definition they gave:

1.  Someone who habitually doubts beliefs and claims presented as accepted by others, requiring strong evidence before accepting any belief or claim.
2.  Someone undecided as to what is true.
3.  A type of agnostic.

We chatted and I told him that for myself, I like a skeptic as they are open to new information and ways of being.  I also told him that in addition to the spiritual practices that I do with meditation and Light work, I also write letters, send emails, talk with people, and take action on all levels for things I believe in or want to change.  He liked this.

I am a skeptic about politicians, about the manner in which the governments operate, about news programs, about diets, cosmetics, and any number of things.

It seems to me a part of all of us is a skeptic as we want our own personal experience in order for us to genuinely believe.  This is such a beautiful way to be as it opens me up to have each moment bring me something new and fresh while having what I presently believe support me until I find evidence of and experience the new.

I am not a skeptic about Spirit.  My two near death experiences gave me direct contact with the Pure Light and Love of Spirit and the immensity of All That Is.

Reggie is a skeptic about some animals and people he meets.  He senses when they are not one he wants around, growls, and can be aggressive if they move toward him or me.  I trust his judgment completely as he has senses that are beyond most peoples.  Reggie sees Spirits in our home and will be sitting by me on the sofa looking intently into space connecting in his own way.  He is not a skeptic about Spirit either.  Nancy and Reggie♥
