There are many opinions being given in the media, and between individuals and groups about current and historical events. I used to love to give my opinion repeatedly without any facts to whoever would listen. I didn’t want to make the effort to do the research to find out the facts. Wiktionary gives the following (I edited slightly) quoted definitions of opinion as:
- A belief that a person has formed about a topic or issue.
I would like to know your opinions on the new filing system.
In my opinion, white chocolate is better than milk chocolate.
Every man is a fool in some man’s opinion.
- The judgment or sentiment which the mind forms of persons or things; estimation.
- (obsolete) Favorable estimation; hence, consideration; reputation; fame; public sentiment or esteem.
- (obsolete) Obstinacy in holding to one’s belief or impression; opiniativeness; conceitedness.
- The formal decision, or expression of views, of a judge, an umpire, a doctor, or other party officially called upon to consider and decide upon a matter or point submitted.
- (European Union law) a judicial opinion delivered by an Advocate General to the European Court of Justice where he or she proposes a legal solution to the cases for which the court is responsible
My normal practice is to find out what the law says first in a situation of grave importance as I know that the law was implemented for justice. Once I find out what the law says, then I search for the rules and regulations, the facts, and then I listen to opinions. Spirit has guided me to follow this pattern for most of my life.
My position as a Personnel Management Specialist for the Federal Government required that I leave my personal opinion out of situations; that I deal only with the law, the rules and regulations, the facts of the case, conclusions, and resulting decisions based on these things. This professional training carried over into my personal life as well. Spirit led me to a higher level of investigation and integrity.
When I used to get so upset because of my opinions, my mental thinking was distorted, my physical well-being suffered with tight muscles, increased blood pressure, sleep disturbances, over or under eating with emotional highs and lows that were unhealthy. Family and friends did not want to be around me when I was spouting off just to vent my highly charged emotional opinions. There was a part of it that was also attention getting, like my opinion was so important. I was out of control and out of spiritual alignment. All of this was putting out a frenetic, chaotic energy, vibration, and frequency that others with like behaviors fed into, which in turn created a higher level of discontent which led to an increase in intensity, and at times violence in one form or another in my world and the world. This harms not only myself, those surrounding me, but it goes out into the consciousness of the humanity like a radio wave radiating out.
On social media, I do not post other’s opinions inciting escalation of public discontent as this has far reaching effects for me, all who read it, and the energy, vibration, and frequency that is emitted as a result. Spirit has guided me to post uplifting, educational, and enlightening words to keep raising the energy, vibration, and frequency of humanity.
When I stopped creating and speaking about my opinions before I researched what the laws, rules, regulations, and facts were, my life changed markedly as did my view of the world. The energy, vibration, and frequency that I put out changed to one of peace. Peace within myself as I know what truth is based on solid research and I do not need to carelessly gossip, or put my opinion out with the intent to influence or disturb anyone or anything.
This does not mean that I take no action. This means that privately I talk with a trusted knowledgeable family member, friend, or expert, do research, and avoid spreading ill will. This means that to the appropriate person(s) or organization(s), I send emails, make calls, and write letters. It means I do it with as much supporting legal information as I can find.

Spirit uses me occasionally to help bring about justice. It means that I trust that Spirit knows truth in a way that is beyond my knowing and that Divine Justice prevails. Spirit calls me to a higher level of trust, self-control, self-monitoring, and genuine care of myself, others, the Earth and all surrounding it.
This is one of Spirit’s most life changing lessons for me, and that I work to maintain now no matter what the circumstances, situation, or who is involved. There are times I have to stop myself mid-sentence to remember who I am and what I am called to do. Spirit calls me to create peace and love within the law, the rules and regulations, and the facts. I am so grateful that I genuinely want to listen and do my best to stay open to do my part. Spirit’s sacred trust of me means everything.
Reggie sometimes creates a frenetic, chaotic energy with his repeated barking at the squirrels in the backyard or the cat next door who walks the fence. His bark scares the cat away, but the squirrels just climb up higher in the tree where he cannot get them. Sometimes, he just likes to bark to hear himself bark as there is nothing I can see that is bothering him or that he needs to warn me about. When he doesn’t stop himself, I have to go get him, bring him inside, and calm him down so he does not continue to put out this energy. Once he is inside, he settles down and stays calm. Spirit provides Reggie and I with guidance to keep all aspects of our Beingness at the highest level for our good and the good of All That Is. Nancy and Reggie♥
