Reggie and I are taking our guests to Lake Tahoe, California today. We love to travel, especially in the mountains and where there is water – streams, rivers, lakes, ocean – it doesn’t matter. This pristine freshwater lake sits at 6,225 feet high in the Sierra Nevada mountains between California and Nevada. It is the largest alpine lake in North America, with a length of 22 miles and a width of 12 miles, and has a depth of 1,645 ft, the second deepest lake in the United States. It is known for the clarity of its water and the panorama of surrounding mountains on all sides.
It evokes a spirit of origin as it is so pure and fresh that it elevates my spirits and all aspects of my Being. I am regenerated and refreshed at a soul level when I am by this lake. The smell of pine in the air, the clear blue sky with puffy white clouds, and a breeze blowing off the lake all serve to invigorate me.
Reggie and I feel pure joy when we walk along the edge of this beautiful lake. Reggie loves the smells and could walk around the whole lake if I would take him.
There is magic here when I stop, just listen to the waves wash up on the shore and look at the mountain ranges surrounding the lake. I feel such utter peace inside myself. This is a little bit of heaven. Nancy and Reggie♥
